As a Production Engineer  you will prepare, assemble, inspect, and test products and equipment before they’re marketed and sold to customers. This role is pivotal in providing technical support, service, preparations, and maintenance for our range of equipment, accessories, and consumables. Your experience in troubleshooting, preparing, repairing, and installing machinery will be vital in ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments for product demos, testing, and implementing new changes, ensuring an all-encompassing approach to customer support. We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic individual with a desire to learn.   
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Prep, troubleshoot, repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery 
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations 
  • Prepare machines and equipment for shipment 
  • Inspect, test, and prepare finished products prior to delivery to customers 
  • Pick parts for placement on machines 
  • Sample testing  
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, monitor, repair, and maintain inverters, controllers, relays, and industrial sensors, etc.  
  • Configuration programming of machine controllers 
  • Fabrication of parts per specifications given by the engineering team  
  • Install, examine, and replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, and other electrical components 
  • Prep and/or program machinery, equipment, tape heads, etc. encompassing all product lines. 
  • Configure machines using HMI and PLC.  
  • Read and interpret air and electrical schematics and implement changes.  
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues. 
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring machines operate at peak efficiency. 
  • General warehouse tasks, including forklifting, parts and tape picking and prep, as necessary.  
  • Keep work area and warehouse clean, tidy, and aligned with safety standards and requirements.  
  • Collaborate and communicate with QA and Engineering teams frequently. 
  • Accurately prepare equipment to instructions and/or documents provided by Engineering.  
  • Generate comprehensive reports on technical issues, resolutions, and changes. 
  • Implement production process improvements.  
  • Propose innovative solutions for technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Test and implement new changes on machines with different consumable materials, ensuring product compatibility and operational efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure seamless integration of new materials into existing machines. 
  • High quality fabrication. 
  • Adhering to best safety and technical practices.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Experience: 
  • 2+ years experience in machinery preparation or other related fields 
  • Forklifting experience 
  • Basic Electrical Skills (read schematics, parts replacement, wire organization) 
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment (mill, lathe, plasma cutter, MIG welder, stick welder) 
  • Familiarity with ladder logic, PLC, and/or Allen Bradley controls 
  • Familiar with basic part fabrication 
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and adapt to changing work schedules 
  • Ability to handle physical workload 
  • Clean driving record 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds 
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
